Yeah i agree with BMG. I think he really does want to bring youth into the first team too. That seems to be one of his biggest aims is blooding them in. Could see a lot more of Barkley this season.
Its something I agree he seems very enthused about. Our club gives him a better chance of promoting youth and possibly why he felt we were right, amongst other things.

Yeah the likes of Stones, Barkley and Duffy need a chance to show what they can do, in my eyes we another CM

Yeah, i think it's something he would've loved to do at wigan but they simply didn't have the quality to do so. The likes of Lundstram, Barkley, Grant, all seem to be very good passing and creative midfielders could benefit from his playing style and willingness to play. Lundstram apparently going out to watford on loan this season which will be a big help, lad could have a great future. Also i think someone on here said Cisco Junior could go out on loan which would be good for the lad, he has a lot of talent been a bit unlucky with injuries and sometimes too eager to prove himself but he has the ability.

I think a few younger players will be brought in for the acad' and the under twenty ones this season too, players who can fit in with the new playing style and compliment the players we already have.

Rumours on twitter says we are not signing Michael Owen, who is (free) agent or Robbie Savage. On the other hand, none at Everton has still denied they are in pole position to sign Thomas Brolin for an undisclosed fee.

Roberto Martinez has not ruled out further summer arrivals at Everton but is vowing to take his time while he continues to assess the areas of his squad that need strengthening.

The new Blues boss bolstered his options last week with the signings of goalkeeper Joel Robles, defender Antolin Alcaraz and striker Arouna Kone, while forward Gerard Deulofeu arrived on a season-long loan from Barcelona.

Ivory Coast international Kone could be in line to make his first appearance when Everton travel to Accrington Stanley for a friendly on Wednesday but is one of four players who only reported back for pre-season training on Monday.

Deulofeu, Tim Howard, Ross Barkley, John Stones and Luke Garbutt all remain absent – and Martinez says he will use tonight's game, next weekend's trip to Blackburn Rovers and the Club’s three-match tour of the United States to evaluate his options.

“I think it is important to bring in players early,” the Spaniard told evertontv. “I do feel the squad has always been strong and we have got great experience, but we needed to have certain additions to have different options.

“The biggest aspect of our squad is the experience and the continuity that we have in this group and that has been very impressive to see how they adapted to the new work.

“But you can never stop searching, you can never stop looking to help the players that we’ve got at the football club.

“I can imagine the next four weeks are going to very much be about assessing the competition that we’ve got in the squad, assessing the youngsters and how quickly they can help and how quickly they can be prepared to have a role in the first team. Then we’ll always keep an eye to try to be as strong as we can be at the start of the season.”

Please tell me he didn't use the "G" word....

Nah mate, gorjys simply is the English word gorgeous written phonetically in welsh, as is sosej aka sausage. They're not welsh words , but are used sometimes for convenience.

Anyway enough, this is the transfer rumour thread :)

Erm, thats what I said. It's obviously not classical welsh

Anyway,as you said back to the fitba.

Slightly depressing if that's out business all done. What happened to Moses or was that just nonsense? We still need a centre mid, Gibson always misses games through injury and Fellani will miss games through suspension. Another winger/striker wouldn't go a miss as well, someone in the Moses mould who can occupy several positions
