my brother said shelvey's been outstanding every game so far for them.

chico flores seemed to be a really good signing near the end of last season

Really don't agree there. De Guzman, Hernandez and Chico all showed their quality last season. Michu naturally stole the show due to his goals but Laudrup brought those three in. This window he's brought in Bony, Pozuelo, Amat and Canas who I'm pretty confident will show their quality in the upcoming season, too.

As for Shelvey, you should see the assist he got in one of their friendlies. He's been getting glowing reports.
