Sad to see him go.

We have to be realistic, 1 million is about the best we could have expected. Another high roller off the accounts ( 3 million per annum )

Just need to get rid of a few more first teamers, and we will have some really solid sets of accounts to look forward to. Maybe, they might place party poppers under the seats for us to use when they show the greatest Evertonian of all time on the screen again.

Somethings on i reckon - looks like we are trying to clear a few big wages - to put a package together for someone.

Everton have agreed a £1 million fee with New York Red Bulls for Tim Cahill, according to reports.
Cahill, 32, has built a reputation as a goalscoring midfielder - but he netted just two Premier League goals last season in 35 appearances, and manager David Moyes is apparently willing to let him move on.
Cahill's exit would free up funds for Everton to complete the signing of Steven Pienaar from Tottenham Hotspur, after his successful loan spell last season.

If true,I am sorry to see Cahill leave, but it may be the right time as he would become an ever more peripheral figure in the squad and that is not how he should be remembered.
At 33 years of age I don't think we can expect a big fee.

**** the bed, I only clicked on this out of pure curiosity, never thought anything would actually be going down.

I love Tim as much as anyone, but I'd rather he went now whilst everyone reveres him as a legend than Moyes persist playing him and his legacy slips away, through no fault of his own other than age catching up with him.

Seems chicken oriental, that we had to sell Cahill and Yobo to sign Pienaar who was our player anyway to begin with, poor buisness overall.

Keniswrong!

Gonna miss the way he terrorized the Red Shoite.
