Just reading some posts on Facebook from EA Sports and Sky etc. Some fans from other clubs still see him as the goalscoring threat and the lifeblood of our team. One Spurs fan even went as far to say Everton will be in a relegation battle next season without him. Made me realise that although he is an undoubted legend the time was right to go, while his light still burns bright at Goodison. Thankyou Tim.

The New York Red Bulls released the following statement today regarding midfielder Tim Cahill:

"We are aware of Everton’s statement regarding midfielder Tim Cahill and our club. However, we have no comment at this time regarding him or any other non-New York player."

No, it's because he is technically still an Everton player until he agrees terms with them which will probably be routine.

Cahill has yet to agree personal terms so I can see why they would send out that communciation in light of Everton telling the world they have accepeted an offer from NYRB.

Suspect could be wrong that Friday could be a deadline of some sorts if they wish to conclude MSL matters for other players.

Much as I can't stand the current board, and I'm absolutely gutted about Cahill leaving, I think you're using 2+2=5 to have a go at them over nothing there.

It is very unusual to be honest. You'd think the statements would come out after he'd agreed terms or something?

At the very least the Cahill tribute videos on the OS surely shouldn't be up until he's actually gone?
