Cahill and Yobo out = about 90k a week in wages and £3.0m fee.

Pienaar and Naismith in, £3.0m fee and about 70k a week wages.

Decent so far, but need to improve more than that if we are gonna finish any higher up the league this season. How about getting rid of rubbish like Anichebe, Hibbert, etc?

It's just hit me this morning.

I didn't think it would hurt as much as Arteta because Tim's really past his best whereas I thought Arteta still had a lot to give, but nah, this is awful. Easily the most saddened I've been to see a player leave since Dunc left for Newcastle.

Of course the head still says it's a good move and it will surely improve our finances and to be honest, our football, but Tim Cahill is just... argh. I love the man.

Hibbo rubbish? Same sentence as Vic? Repent before it's too late.

As for Tim ... sad to see him go but don't disagree with the decision. He'll always have a home with Everton and once LD has left the Galaxy I'll have a new MLS team to "follow" (by "follow" I mean forget the game is on and catch the last 10 minutes).

Lad that was quality..

Really going to miss timmy,he's right up there with big dunc as an everton legend in my eyes...

Thanks for the memories

Just reading some posts on Facebook from EA Sports and Sky etc. Some fans from other clubs still see him as the goalscoring threat and the lifeblood of our team. One Spurs fan even went as far to say Everton will be in a relegation battle next season without him. Made me realise that although he is an undoubted legend the time was right to go, while his light still burns bright at Goodison. Thankyou Tim.

Summed up my feelings perfectly. Not felt like this since Dunc was sold, or Tricky Trev left us in 89.
