The Super Tim Cahill Thread.

Of course he could. He's not automatic choice now for a start, but at any decent club they'd have retained him to come off the bench and start a few games for impact. The way Bill's Whelk Stall runs though it's 'sell him off and get a Bosman in'.

Criminals who run this club. The biggest shysters ever to darken the door of EFC.

I agree 100%. Because let's face it, our squad has so much depth that we can afford to offload someone like Cahill for next to nothing. Honestly, ****ing Neville runs out each week, I know he's our captain but he'd be the more logical choice over Cahill imo.

Gutted, but its the right thing to do. Thanks for the memories Tim.

Having to sell a modern day legend for a nominal fee is hard to take. So many crucial goals, always gave 100% , infact one of the reasons i believe he had less impact the last 2 seasons because he would play through knocks and injuries. Love the man.

Fve weeks to the window slams shut. I really think people should be looking nervously at that decimated squad list now and wondering what the **** is going on.

IMO, a message was sent out early to fans via their little helpers on forums that 'we dont need to sell and appease the banks this summer', and that 'Moyes is relaxed and happy'. The blind acceptance of that seems to have given the club a free hand in chopping chunks off the squad and the wge bill has tumbled...that 70% of revenue figure that wages accounts for must have been their target this time around.

This is frighteneing stuff. At present we'll likely have a decent core and not much else.

Have the same bad feeling here too mate. Cahill, Yobo, Heitinga...all heavily/increasingly rumoured to be going and for less than what they should IMO, all pointing to getting them off the wage bill asap.

After Pienaar (if this falls through I wont know what to make of this club), I can see us raiding young championship/league 1 players, with a loan or two. The wage bill must be slashed it seems.

Yep...and it'll be sold as "Everton Reboot"...and it'll be eaten up with a big ****ing spoon by most.

Bottom line: these carpet baggers who run Everton know exactly how much they can get away with and they know how to use the media (all of it including this form) to sell their bankrupt plans. They know their constituency well by now.

At least he sorted that f*ckin snide out Cabaye.

Wonde if MLS know he is banned? ( if that even works like that)

They lie year after year and most still gobble up their lies, never ceases to amaze me.

It'll definitely be sold as a 'Moyes gives a chance to youth' season, bring a couple through and maybe sign one from Huddersfield or something. Can't say I'm surprised.

In what way is it frightening? Yobo REALLY has to go. Cahill is good business for him, for us (regrettable tho' it is), Pienaar should be coming - if not Moyes won't be "relaxed and happy" - we've got £3M plus towards his purchase. I agree we're a bit thin but those others who have gone were peripheral players at best.

Who in their right mind can argue that bringing in Naismith (for nowt) & Pienaar to replace Cahill, Yobo (if you still considered him an Everton player) & the others like McFadden etc. is not smart business?

"Moyes Boys".

...it's so predictable it'd be funny if it wasn't so sickening.

Peripheral? Half of those gone were in the first team regularly last season. And besides, I think that's what squads are all about...having players on the periphery to come in.

If this lot could get away with it they'd hire players from an agency to come in as and when needed.

We are run by lunatics looking to slash and burn an already weak squad. That's why it's frighteneing.

We'll never forget you Tim. It's a shame he didin't run his contract down and stay with us forever then retire. I still think he'd be a good impact sub. Ah well. Love you Timothy.
