Where to, specifically? Lived in Tucson for a good 20-25 years, have family in the hell that is the Phoenix Metro Area and also lived two years in Bullhead City, near Laughlin.

If you want some good comida Mexicana or some good bars, I might be able to help out.

Staying in Phoenix for work for 4 days then have 3-4 days on the bikes between Phoenix, Kingman, Sedona and Page

Looking like I'll be in Paris next week. Any less obvious things for a tourist to do there?
I did a bicycle tour when I was there, takes about 4 hours and takes in all the usual sights and a few of the lesser known ones. Each “stop” is about 10 minutes apart, so not strenuous at all

Escaping Phoenix will suck, it's huge, but once you finally break free Northern Arizona is pretty scenic, some good views. As for itself, i guess any advice I might offer depends entirely upon where in the city you are staying. Not shocking to spend an hour going door to door to see my friends... and not because of slow traffic, we're talking 55+mph on freeways.

Kingman is about an hour east of Bullhead, some mountains there, so might get "cold" for Arizona.

Sedona... stayed about a week in Sedona and Oak Creek for our Honeymoon. Struggling to think of the places we ate at there, though rated low on Google, I remember enjoying a great huevos rancheros breakfast at Oaxaca and they had an ok microbrew in some weird fancy pants shopping center.

If you can squeeze Prescott in, I really liked the town center. Olde Tyme feel, copper ceiling work, etc, on some of the bars on Whiskey Row. It sort of fits in that general loop, i think.

.... off to Adelaide for a few days holiday today. Never been before but have heard good things. Looking forward to a winery tour through the Barossa Valley that we're going to be doing.

Done a Camino for 17 days in May, from Oviedo to Compostela, itching to get away somewhere again soon.

Would love to have went away over Xmas as I absolutely despise being home for it but travel costs at that time of year are beyond ridiculous.

Go to mr denneheys everton bar in greenwich village when in nyc its a great place.

Yeah it's on my list of pubs to visit while I'm there ;)

As it happens, the Goodison derby is on while we're in Toronto....so will be watching that one in Scallywags (watched the Burnley game there last October and had a brilliant time even though we lost).

Arrived in La Palma, Canaries, today. Staying at Apartmentos La Rosarios, near the airport. Has a real feel-good atmosphere and will find out more about 'La Isla Bonita' after a good night's sleep (aided by two large bottles of San Miguel) over the coming fortnight.

Adiós for now :pint2:

My favourite city. Yes visit the rock there and do a boat trip around Escobar's house and the sunken church. Medellin is amazing was there for a couple of months
