Just back from a week in NYC. By some distance the best place I have visited. Truly amazing in every way.
i was there for 4 nights last sept.loved it.done all the touristy things but loved just strolling around.great city.subway was brilliant for getting around as well and very easy use.

Still trying to find a good trip for our 30th wedding anniversary in April.....current options are Singapore/Bangkok on the Eastern Oriental and then a Thai beach resort, or Vietnam/Cambodia.....late comers to the list are New Orleans/Memphis/Southern States or Cape Town to Joburg to Mozambique.

Any recommendations out side of those?

South Goa is a cheap, closer, beautiful and quieter option I would highly recommend for a romantic week or two. I have been three years on the trot with my partner.

We stayed here and for less than 40 quid a night it was an absolutely stunning resort plus very shaded and cool which is crucial when out in the sun all day!

The dolphin trips from Agonda Beach are magical too, they always bloody find them!

If anyone has any recommendations or advice on these places Bermuda, Costa Rica, Cape Verde, Azores, Cuba

that'd be swell.
