If money's tight don't go on a package.

There's loads of nice guesthouses to choose from round Candolim, and, to be honest, I prefer to stay in them rather than a faceless hotel.

If you're not arsed about a pool, Pretty Petals in Candolim is sound.

I agree, I stayed in a hostel when I was there and loved every bit of it. The beach was only two minutes walk away
 

Dublin is the most disappointment place I have been to, love Mexico, Prague, fave place is Berlin, fancy doing route 66 in a fancy motor and attempting an eating challenge in a roadside diner.
 
Is Myanmar any good? I've found a good deal on Momondo for what could be a good 6 week South East Asia trip, flying to Yangon and flying back from Hanoi for £398.
