The Vincent Kompany amnesty thread

Bayern Munich are going to crash and burn spectacularly next season...

And it's going to be fun to watch.
I can't wait. I think the bloke is a bad narcissist and I don't like to chuck labels around like that willy nilly. Has all the classic traits of one.
A decent young manager wanting to make a name for himself should jump at the chance. There's enough at Burnley to work with and get promoted with and a pragmatist approach could well keep them up.

That manager is easier described than found.
Absolutely agreed. There's some fat to trim like and deal with any players that want out (apparently the dressing room turned and is very cliquey in parts) and players that other teams may fancy but yeah - definitely talent to work with.

Interestingly only two players have made a public remark wishing Vinny well and you know how players today are all about socials and PR and all that. Speaks volumes to me.

On the younger manager front - Marti Cifuentes has been linked and come into the reckoning. He's done a very good job with QPR and I think we have the personnel to suit his playing style. Heavily inspired by Cruyff and employs a 3-2-5 in possession.
We have an abundance of CBs and wingers, CBs that are quick and have good recovery pace... Still shouldn't have played one of the highest lines in the PL last season mind but should be to good for that level.
I don’t think Moyes has ever got a team out of the Championship

Would Potter take it?
He hasn't, no but worked wonders with Preston on naff all budget back in the early 00s.
I doubt Potter would take it. See above re: Marti Cifuentes.

Yeah and some other classic traits -

Very charismatic but has odd outbursts of rage. Ostracised players and created a divided dressing room as soon as we went through a bad patch. Was planning an entire coaching overhaul, only a few following him to BM... (there's more)

This is not even 2 years in the job as well. We had nothing of the sort with 9 years of Dyche, though apparently towards the end it did go stale, as you'd expect when the squad hadn't had any significant changes in 4 years (Josh Brownhill addition aside).

Now you're heading into Trump territory mate... 😂

And in saying that, it's important to note that every sociopath is a narcissist, but not every narcissist is a sociopath, but I wouldn't say that ol' Vinnie is quite there yet.
