Seems the weatherman was wrong. 41 today and tomorrow, but only a balmy 37 for Christmas day

Last one I recall at Goidison was against Leeds about 20 years ago, but it was only because the council ran out of grit for local roads IIRC.

Yes, but be fair. I was in the 'white-outs' in Liverpool 1947 and Leeds 1963, so have done my bit. lol

Years ago, I remember turning on the TV at Saturday lunchtime. John Motson was on, stood in the middle of a football pitch in 6 inches of snow with blizzard raging about him, snow going sideways. I thought, 'he must be up north somewhere'. Then he said he was at Wycombe Wanderers, whose ground is 10 miles from my front door. I looked out of the window and it was a cold but dry day, no sign of snow anywhere. We don't do so bad in Berkshire! Must be something to do with being the 'Royal' County. lol
