The Zodiac Killer

I have not seen them. I will have a look mate. Decent?
I have enjoyed them, yes. The basic gist is that you have a couple of real oddballs convicted of murder, but the kicker is that the actual evidence is well debatable. You’re left with more questions than answers - no less convinced of the convicts’ oddball status, but a reasonable level of doubt as to whether they’ve actually committed the crimes. Making A Murderer in particular - one of the convicts, Brendan Dassey, very probably shouldn’t be in prison based on the process alone. But y’know, it’s Murica and they do things VERY differently...

I wonder was it two men.

I'll have to go over and have a peruse; personally, the likelihood of Wallace being the murderer are slim. Complicit in the murder with an accomplice? Perhaps.
Many people around at the time reckon Wallace did it. I grew up round there.

He suffered for a long time after it because of the presumption of guilt; conceivably, that may partly have been due to the nature of trust for the police at the time.

To be fair, I can't say he didn't do it, however based purely on the evidence provided I doubt there'd be much chance that he'd have ever face trial today.

Purely talking speculatively, you could suggest he had an accomplaice when you consider specifically asking for the time and his 'numerous' interactions.

However, on the other hand I'd never seen the taxi to Sefton Park article before (it's in the original Wallace thread) and that instantly made me thing.

If I remember correctly, the tram along Menlove Avenue would have gone from Penny Lane, which isn't too far from Penny Lane if you stop near Greenbank.

Just to add, those houses didn’t have a brick wall in the attic. The lofts all ran in to one.

That was meant to say 'add to that' rather than 'however', and that it isn't too far from 'Sefton Park', not Penny Lane, if you stop near Greenbank.

That's vino for you...

News came out today about one of the cyphers being cracked.

Do you think we'll ever find out for sure who did it?

My money is on Arthur Leigh Allen. Especially since the latest code break shows that the person doing the cypher made mistakes, which is why there were weird typos.

But, I think ha also had an accomplice. That's why there are so many discrepancies in the case (like with the police sketches looking nothing like him) and why there's been no evidence found (the accomplice has it or has destroyed it).

Fascinating case. From what I read yesterday the new cipher didn't actually provide too many leads, just an example of bragging.
Yep. It shows the killer was just playing games. There's still one cypher that the killer claimed would reveal his identity, but they've said it is highly unlikely to ever be cracked, because it's only 1 line.
