Once upon a time signing Theo Walcott would have been seen as a good move, not now. If he was the player he used to be then he wouldn't be allowed to leave Arsenal.

If our business had been excellent in the summer then I wouldn't be so bothered. I really feel like there is no room for error with the players we bring in and this signing just stinks of more of what we've already got.
he scored 19 goals last season. he's still the same player

When fit he's pretty good still, though that's in a more talented side than ours. Keeping him on the pitch is another matter entirely.

I just dont see what we're trying to achieve at this club. The purchasing seems to be without any rhyme or reason.

Tosun in and then a LB. That's what we should have done in January. They were the two glaring omissions. The season's well gone, so just fix the obvious problems and get a plan ready for the summer.

*sigh*

Its what happens when you have 3 different managers in almost 2 years Dave, they each want different players, as I keep saying, thankfully we have The Mosh to bail us out, but Christ I do agree, its like asking somebody to make a jigsaw without giving them a picture on the box.

Personally we should commit to Big Sam for the next 5 years and only his death should be a reason we get somebody else in.

Season's over already. Why not take time to blood in Lookman and Vlasic to get them up to speed come pre-season, rather than buy a has been who Arsenal fans can't see the back of quick enough?

I JUST DON'T GET IT!!

This.

Play Vlasic and Lookman rotate with Bolaise and Lennon. We aren’t going down and we aren’t finishing in a uefa cup spot with this squad or style of play I would give as many young players game time as possible it’s good experience for them. 20 million for Walcott? No thanks rather we use that money to sign a solid left back now.

His stats are ok but he’s playing for a team that opens teams up at will and play on the front foot, also surrounded by players like Ozil/Sánchez etc.

And then there’s Everton!

he scored 19 goals last season, but that was in an arsenal team that can pass a football around. We cant do that

This is it. It's not that it's overwhelmingly bad business, it's mixed, some good and lots of average at top dollar.
There just looks like no structure to it though. It's anarchic. What on earth is a DOF playing at if he can't do this?

Say what you want about Martinez and Moyes but at least you knew what they were trying to achieve.

I think the fact he’s going to be in the same side as Martina might just swing it in our favour mate.

we have tried all this, to much to soon for some of them

30+ appearances in 9 of the last 11 seasons. 35+ in 7 of those. 40+ in 3. (Bearing in mind he wasn't a guaranteed starter for much of the time).

The only 2 seasons he dipped below 30 were the two that were impacted by his cruciate injury. Played 21 games in the remainder of the season after returning from that injury, and 42 and 37 games in the following two seasons.

He's hardly Mr Glass.
Last four seasons, starts in the PL:

23
15

...he's been injured, or carrying knocks and being run out off the bench with not much game time.
