Ofc not, but my point still stands. Too many injuries, too often. We need player we can depend on, not players breaking down at every turn.

Lennon is a no brainer for any team in a relegation scrap (we aren't), he has the right attitude, works his arse off and as shown when he first arrived with us (both times) he actually tends to hit a purple patch for 6-8 games after moving clubs.
Rooney was/is labelled a past it has been. He's still out best player.
Walcott may be a arsenal fringe injury prone player...but is still better than anyone (bar Rooney) in our squad, won trophies, and played at the highest level.
Again, none of the squad bar Rooney have played at his level.
May even actually stop the side bottling big games.
Errrm by buying a player from a team which is renowned for being able to be bullied out of games and thus bottling them?
as for Rooney, the last Derby there was one Everton player who let the occasion get to him, and that was the lad who everyone said was the answer to our mentality problems in Rooney.
That's what happens to wingers once they start getting past 27/28 years old. They decline in pace and effectiveness. But don't worry Walcott's nearly 29 so there's plenty of life left in him.Lennon has always been a consistent performer and you know when he plays he's going to give you a 6 or 7/10 every game.
But he's 30, running down his contract and has lost that rapid pace he had even when he joined us three years ago.
He's been a solid if unspectacular player for us who has helped us out of some crap situations three times now.
Stoke will love him.
Id take him, but I worry a lot about his injury record. Another sicknote is not what we need, no matter how good he is the 4 games he’s healthy pr season.
You can get away with the odd short term approach particularly where it can make a big difference in winning something or getting into the Champions League etc but our predominate approach since Walsh came in with regard to the first team has been short term.Contrary to that IMO, i think on at least 4-5 occasions the lack of a short term approach has cost this club massively, 2-3 times under Moyes as short term approach in a January could have seen us in the CL or win a cup maybe, same under Martinez.
IF Walcott is the type of short term solution to anything though is another matter.
