No wonder we never move on as a team when fans have negative thoughts like this. Everyone deserves a chance so just get behind the team.

Yeah, nothing to do with the players being bog standard. It's the fans on GOT who aren't for having more money being wasted on Theo Walcott.

I’d take Saido Berahino yes he’s got a temper but he’s young and gots potential and would be a longer lasting addition
He is totally useless, out of the 2 I'd much prefer Walcott, also we have players with potential in Lookman and Vlasic. Also its about here and now we need to get experienced players in ready to hit the ground running. We have a lot of young players and the futures bright for them here but we need seasoned pro in.

Well imo it better having Walcott than not to have him, we are hardly setting the world alight with out attacking are we, look at the 2 Liverpool games was it about 2 shots in 90 minutes, it's a good job 2 experienced pros in sigs and Rooney (pen) take there chances when they get them, that's exactly what Walcott would bring us.

I watch football with my eyes, not based on stats. Walcott was an extremely average player blessed with outstanding pace 8-10 years ago with an uncanny knack of falling apart on the final ball. I've always been amazed at the level he has reached based solely on pace. As he grows older his only outstanding attribute has diminished both through natural causes and continued injury problems.

If we get him now we get a player who has lost that extreme sharpness but has gained very slightly in final ball. He is not the sort of player we should be targeting. It's 20m down the drain give or take a couple of performances a season in my mind. Massive swerve for me.

Here's an idea: why aren't the ones in charge of our club swerving Walcott and Klaassen and signing Salah, as well as having some change left over? Chasing Walcott just screams a lack of imagination from the powers that be.

So he's basically Aaron Lennon  Completely agree with you, we should stay far, far away from Walcott.

He's been at Arsenal a long time thing have gone stale for him there, that happens look at Mirallas here, there loads of examples, he needs a new challenge and here he would get it. But it's up to him how he takes it.Also if we want that sort of player who else is available with his experiance for £20 million?.

I'd imagine there are multiple players playing in Europe who have similar attributes in respect of pace but have a far more rounded game. It's not my job to pick them out. There is a very good reason arsenal have been desperate to tie up Sanchez and ozil but have been quite prepared to let him run out his long term contract

In general I don't like it when we're signing players who have achieved a lot at so-called bigger clubs, as I do not think they are hungry enough to go the extra mile here. The exception is when there's a link between the player and the club (see Rooney, Wayne). Because of this I think Walcott would be better off going back to Southampton.

One simple answer HE WOULDNT HAVE COME HERE. I wish some fans were realistic, we are not signing them sort of players at this moment in time, we just simply not appealing enough for them to want to come here. We are left to buy players that are fringe players at the top 6 clubs or the better players from teams below 6th (then foreign ones, who are risky as they have no PL experiance) but other teams below 6th want them players to then the price get bulked up.
