Not sure about Walcott. Yes he's better than what we have but ffs we're not exactly overflowing with talent in that department. He's on his prime pay packet age and coming from Larndarn he's gonna be earning a wedge. Think we need a South American(that's as far as my scouting knowledge goes.)

Also Berahino lol who recently had this headline "Saido Berahino: the former golden boy who has gone 632 days without scoring"

There has to be a degree or realism. We are a club who have won nothing for nearly 23 years and have been left behind in the era of new stadia so far, with tight finances and comparatively low wage structures.
We cannot be turned from that to a club attracting the champions league elite overnight, improving has to be incremental.
So Walcott, Rooney, Sigurdsson, Tosun, may not terrify the best sides out there, but it is definitely a huge step forward and may bring enough success to attract more talent in the future.
While he might not be on Barca or Bayern's radar, anyone that thinks Walcott will not improve our current squad is deluded.

No PL experience attitude is exactly the short sighted attitude that cost us VVD and why we have Sam allerdyce as a manger. Its about having a proper scouting system being in place, due dilligence being undertaken in order to identify those who will succeed in this league like Southampton, leicester and Watford have, albeit with far lesser budgets, they also have a scouting system for coaches.

With klassen it was clear to see was an average player at ajax, he was never an outstanding performer.
He scored goals though and looked great on paper, hence why i said its better to watch with your eyes, gylfi is the same to a lesser extent, great stats, in reality, he's good but not nearly as good as his price tag.

It's a horrendously insular thought process to expect PL experience which holds back many EPL team in terms of signings and managerial appointments. We have been more guilty than most of late of it and we are continuing it under Walsh and Sam
That's tosh. Fair enough he wasn't exactly prolific but he had a massive influence consistently at Ajax. It's not working out for him here, he's been below par no doubt but he's not been given much of a chance. To say he wasn't a stand out player at Ajax is rewriting history.

Yeah what a shambles have 2 quality prem proven wingers with a bunch of assists and goals. Couldn't think of anything worse. AND we have 2 promising kids as rotation/competition/back up?! Crazy times.

Get Cleverley back out wide ffs

Who are these 2 amazing quality players?

Lennon is defensive player.
Bolasie is a clown and doesn't know where the goal is.
Walcott is an injury prone soft lad.

Quality players...don't make me lol

Considering we started the season with 2 out of DCL Klaasen or Sandro on the wings then Bolasie and Walcott don’t look too bad.

I know, for ages we’ve been banging on about lack of pace, lack of productivity, lack of options to rotate, lack of players in their prime. Allardyce goes out and spends money on 2 attackers in their prime CL experience, good goal records, with pace, and people kick off because Dowell has done ok at Nottingham Forest. Couldn’t make it up.

You're comparing what Koeman did with signing an injury prone player whose main strength is his pace?

He's 29 soon and has perhaps 2 seasons in him...so yeah, super idea to pay him big money and waste a transfer fee.

oh and yes...Bolasie playing DOES look too bad...

Lennon is dire though.

the job of a winger is supposed to be to provide an attacking threat, assists and goals. He does none of this and has been getting used as support for defence. He's not good enough for where we want to be.

Lennon is poor yeah..hence why I said we need to sell him and Bolasie. Otherwise there are too many players...

Left = Gylfi
Right = Bolasie

Where does Walcott play?

How about Lennon, Lookman and Vlasic?

But but 'we are procreating rich we are procreating rich'...:blush:

This from an ARSEnal forum...about the potential sale of Walcott..This is what one from there said

"I've never been a religious man, but i'm prepared to believe if this cuntslop leaves . God, if you are listening, pleeeeeeaaaaassse let it be true.

He must have taken £60 million quid out of the club in transfer fee and wages, but i'd be prepared to pay Everton another £20-30 million to get rid.

I can't imagine we are going to actually get some money back, and that there is a club willing to buy this dogshit, thick [Poor language removed], poncecunt broken 100m sprinter."

And another...

"You're all aware of our interest in Theo Walcott," Allardyce said. "If it's possible to get that over the line, I'll be delighted.

Are we finally to see the back of this useless over paid piece of [Poor language removed].....

Umm take it they aint bothered him potentially going :rolleyes:
I appreciate you are quoting someone else, but please mate there's no need for all the language there. Edit it out next time eh?
