One of his better performances. Important block early on!

Joking aside, obviously, glad to hear he's OK. He's one of those players we need to get behind. He's far better than he has been performing and we need him back to his best. He was one of our best performers when he arrived and there's still a player there.

Looked horrible that, respect to the medical ppl for dealing with him right

The reaction from fans of other clubs (and a few of ours) on social media was way out of line in highly ignorant about this unfortunately, many saying he was too soft for going off injured for being hit by a ball, others saying try being tackled in rugby or being hit by a cricket ball, completely forgetting that one of the Australian players missed a test in the recent Ashes series for that exact reason

Some idiots about, been a long time since a player has gone off right to hospital like that, im sure the medical people dealing hands on with it knew it was bad

Having missed time with a concussion from getting hit in the face twice in one match before myself I feel his pain. Not the same pace in my league as a PL cross either. If you aren't ready it can do some damage.

Glad he's ok but get him out of this club. He should never be starting games for us.

You have completely missed the point of why Silva started him yesterday. Silva knew that City keep the ball and apply a lot of pressure, they have the talent to do this against anyone, almost., and Walcott is still a very good outball, and the best receiver of Pickfords long accurate releases simply because he can take the ball beyond the fullback or run at the full back immediately putting the opposing defence under pressure. We do not have anyone who can do this as well as Walcott, even now. Given his been out of form and missed a few chances his quality as an out ball is still there. Iwobi when he came on was virtually invisible because he simple cannot play the same game as Walcott, who was important to Silvas plan yesterday. So given that our game plan was stymied in the first minute,we fought well and showed signs(again!) that we are getting were we want to be,or at least part of the way there. It was a good plan by Silva...those who say there is no plan are wrong...mixing and matching the variable resources at Everton with an impatient support 'behind you' is like trying to solve a rubic cube in record time...its a hard job.
