HahahaWe would have won yesterday if Theo hadn’t gone off
So no Theo next week probably?
On top of everything else.
People recognizing how dangerous concussions are has improved considerably but there is still an unfortunate element who think that it is something you should just “tough out” which is a quite amazing thing to say about a traumatic brain injury and considering medical evidence of how deadly second-impact syndrome can be,What’s that got to do with him getting injured yesterday? Not bothered how people rate him but it doesn’t sit right that people are just dismissing how serious it was
BurnleyNewcastle bound
You have completely missed the point of why Silva started him yesterday. Silva knew that City keep the ball and apply a lot of pressure, they have the talent to do this against anyone, almost., and Walcott is still a very good outball, and the best receiver of Pickfords long accurate releases simply because he can take the ball beyond the fullback or run at the full back immediately putting the opposing defence under pressure. We do not have anyone who can do this as well as Walcott, even now. Given his been out of form and missed a few chances his quality as an out ball is still there. Iwobi when he came on was virtually invisible because he simple cannot play the same game as Walcott, who was important to Silvas plan yesterday. So given that our game plan was stymied in the first minute,we fought well and showed signs(again!) that we are getting were we want to be,or at least part of the way there. It was a good plan by Silva...those who say there is no plan are wrong...mixing and matching the variable resources at Everton with an impatient support 'behind you' is like trying to solve a rubic cube in record time...its a hard job.
...and what the hell is wrong with my PC?
Walcott is not a good outball. He can't control a ball to save his life, and he never beats his man. Occasionally, he'll get a chance at goal and 'powder-puff' it back to the keeper. He does nothing and has done nothing for most of his career. Believing otherwise is a triumph of wishful thinking over reality.
It’s Bill Gates’ fault...and what the hell is wrong with my PC?
The reaction from fans of other clubs (and a few of ours) on social media was way out of line in highly ignorant about this unfortunately, many saying he was too soft for going off injured for being hit by a ball, others saying try being tackled in rugby or being hit by a cricket ball, completely forgetting that one of the Australian players missed a test in the recent Ashes series for that exact reason
....when you say ‘he does nothing’, regularly getting in goalscoring positions is ‘doing something’. I’ve always thought others can learn lots by how he plays. Walcott is an uncomplicated footballer. I’m not keen on complicated footballers.
Richarlison does it to greater effect, but many wide men don’t do what Walcott does regarding hitting the box. It takes real hard work to do, but folk don’t notice the players who don’t bother.
(I think) he’s still England’s youngest ever international. Even the current version, i don’t mind.
