because we have only played 9 league games and are still in all competitions ...

We are 18th. 8 points from 9 games with a Minus 11 goal difference.
Realistically, we're out of the Europa League after being beaten by Lyon.
We should probably get dumped out of the League Cup tomorrow night.
FA Cup, granted. Doesn't start till January.

We will be in 2 comps within 2 weeks.

He fell out with the club because they didn't support him and his players after an attack which left a player in hospital. Nothing to do with bust ups with players. Purely board related and fair dues to him.

From The Independent:

"Tuchel's biggest problem is that the players, so often on the coach's side in these disputes, are also against him. The 43-year-old's assistant, an old-school disciplinarian by the name of Rainer Schrey, was so hated by the squad that he was asked to leave the club this summer - the only question, now emphatically answered, was whether Tuchel would follow him."

From the Mail:

"This weekend, Sahin was once again at the heart of a dispute, after Tuchel left him out of the squad for the final. The decision was openly criticised by other players after the game, even as Dortmund celebrated their first title in five years.

'When Julian Weigl is injured, Nuri is the only one who can really replace him properly in defensive midfield,' said captain Marcel Schmelzer.

'It really shocked me, I didn't understand it at all. The coach would have to explain why he did it. We all completely stand behind Nuri.'

With such open criticism from his own captain just hours after the cup triumph, Tuchel must have already begun to pack his bags."

Doesn't sound purely board related to me.
