Oh god yes. Like bees to honey, us Americans liking that post. He's a talent, although the way he pronounces his last name is downright jarring (I have a Croatian last name, too).

More relevant, Tuchel would be a get. I don't think he's the least risky option, but it would certainly show ambition. I think he's looking well above us though.
This can sometimes mean something else here lol

Koeman was a soft get lol

He'd be the biggest name and brightest manager we could get I think...

But... and without coming across as too Brexit, I also see the sense in going for somebody like Dyche.

He isn't my first choice, but I can see the logic in it and don't think it would be a bad appointment, though it would go against Moshir's 'Hollywood of football' desire for a big name.

Tuchel plays decent football but defensively, isn't all that. I'd be slightly worried we'd be Liverpool lite under him in that we don't have the players to replicate Klopp's style - not that Tuchel is a carbon-copy of Klopp, far from it, but his style again revolves around quick interplay and sharp pressing.

Comparing him with klopp is wrong tbh. Tuchel is far more pragmatic and at least tries to get the balance.

Pressing football he will sign pace, and he wears boss coats oh and he’s German and not Klopp or his sidekick at Huddersfield.

Huge yes from me.

In the sense that Klopp pays very little attention to organising a defence, I agree.

The thing is, Tuchel - and I watched a lot of Dortmund over his tenure (more than when Klopp was there as well) - does try and stay organised defensively, as you point out. The worry is his side weren't particularly great at it.

Maybe I'm over-imagining their weaknesses, but Dortmund consistently looked shaky under him (that being said, that's the way they play now as well) and I'm not sure how well his methods would transition over to the Prem.

Don't get me wrong - I'd be thrilled if we got him and do think it would represent a step in the right direction - but I do also have my doubts and can see the logic in getting Dyche in.

Firstly, he'd organise us and secondly, I do think he gets a rough ride from some fans on how he plays the game. He's a pragmatist but not in the Moyes or even Koeman 'knife to a gunfight' sense. He just works with the tools he has available. He has an experience of the league and English football on his hands and I think we'd see improvements straight away under him.

But we'll see. It's a hugely important time and a massive decision for the club.

I'd like a manager to get the best out of the talented players we've already got as well.

I do think Tuchel would do this, but it's not all about signing new players.

Our squad is massive, but has gaping holes in the defence and the attack. Whoever comes in will need to address that swiftly in January.

There's no risk free appointment. I think Tuchel is the best person we can realistically get.

Id be horrified if we hired Dyche...we need to think big.

I always considered whether if it was a by-product of the Klopp era with their gung-ho approach, but the more I watched the less it seemed so.

With our lack of attacking options also a major issue, I do have concerns how well he'd adapt. Still, I'd give him a chance before many others.
