I kind of agree with you mate, but its not going to happen either way. Mind you I remember you claiming Mourinho was realistic post Martinez, so maybe you are a bit more delusional than I've given you credit for as you do usually speak sense.

Like anything it depends who your competing against to sign a manager, was Mourinho realistic - If United would have had no interest in him then yes he would have been potentially obtainable in the same way Benitez rocked up at Newcastle, not many clubs in the world pay close to what we pay for a manager - and money ultimately talks a lot

So to save us from 'relegation, the 4 names you put up - three of them have been relegated from the division in their illustrious history?

1. Big names don't like getting massive salaries now then?
2. The fact that the price of failure at us will get you 18m for one seasons work should we sack you is a negative now for a manager?
3. Bill doesn't hire or fire the managers anymore mate - least he doesn't make those decisions, else we wouldn't have sacked Martinez, wouldn't have hired Koeman and wouldn't have fired Koeman this quickly either

1. Big names can also get massive salaries at big clubs, they don’t have to sign for relegation candidates to be paid well...
2. Wut
3. Kenwright will have a big say and we’ll end up with Allardyce, Dyche or Silva. The sooner you accept it the better.

We are miles off being in a position to go for managers such as a Tuchel, he’s not even a superstar manager either but he’s still well above our level. Our fans have trouble accepting blunt truths.

Was Benitez way above Newcastle's level when they hired him mate?

They lucked into the unique circumstance of him wanting to move back to England. He’s opnenely mentioned it played a big factor in his decision.

Still, have fun believing we are a club capable of getting the likes of a Tuchel...

Tuchel has openly mentioned wanting to manage in the premiership mate, what job is he touting for then? the Chelsea one he won't get, or the Arsenal one thats not available for two years, or the other top 6 teams who won't change managers soon?

BTW your talking about Tuchel like he's the second coming of Guardiola - he is a young - highly rated manager, who had his last and first 'big' job end in a bit of a mess, he's not exactly going to be able to pick and choose between Madrid or Barca at this juncture

Or put it another way, if i heard he had taken the Wolfsburg or Sevilla job tomorrow it wouldn't make me wonder how on earth they got him either.

I would think Tuchel would be a tough get, but we could get him. He and Walsh would have to get along of course, but he's tactically really interesting. Lucien Favre is the other one that we almost got instead of Koeman. Can't imagine he wouldn't leave Nice for the right price.

Not a fan in the country other than our own think we have any hope in signing koeman, just look at the comments on every article about it for proof.

Well i obviously agree what with being an Everton fan but I'm afraid we are in the minority.

Also the £150m figure has been plucked out of thin air, there has been no word whatsoever on how much the next manager will have to spend.

For Koeman i believe it will be viewed as a bit of a sideways step.

He'll go united, Koeman will stay at Southampton and we'll end up with De Boer. Really hard to not see that being the outcome.

Who did we end up hiring mate?

I suggest you go and take the 10/1 or more that's widely available on Tuchel then mate.

Tuchel is very attainable IMO. He's not in that elite bracket that can just waltz into a top CL club.
Pay him enough money and he will come.

He could walk into any job in the world, his stock is amazingly high currently and his next move will be important, hes 1 of the favourites for Bayern after all.

If Bayern want him or he thinks he has a chance, I cant see us having a chance in hell.

Plopp might get binned off soon.

Favre coaches great football, Dormtund wanted him last season but Nice wouldn't let him go. I do wonder about his temperament though, he had some issues in Germany!

As for Tuchel, I think he needs to be bck working sooner rather than later, he needs to be back in the limelight, can he afford to take another year out of football, his 2nd in 4 seasons? I don't mean afford to money wise, as I am sure he can! But football doesn't stand still.

Would you be surprised if he got the Bayern job by the end of the year? Because he's probably the front runner.
