Tim Cahill - an Everton executive?

Maybe so chico, but he's at least slightly more qualified than many ex-Everton 'people' out there

But why narrow the field to just 'Ex-Everton'? In fact, why does he or anyone have to be ex Everton at all, what is the utter obsession with bringing in former players in made up roles?

I mean who doesn't like Timmy Cahill ( well except the majority of this board ), but this is clearly a pr move. What is he going to do exactly?

He's played all over the world.
He's huge in Qatar and UAE. Key member of the academy networks set up over there.
He's on a board in Europe.
He's done all his coaching qualification.

He's probably one of the most qualified we could get.

It's maybe someone like Skippy we need on the board - straight talking Aussie with Everton in his heart and someone Moshiri may just listen to ahead of others less well knowledgeable about football. Could even perform a DoF role?

As an ambassador for the club in the world market i dont think you could get much better. Well liked and gone on to good things since Everton. A yes from me.
But saying all that. Something that would promote the club would be to start bloody winning things. Quickest way to promote yourself. Put a trophy in the cabinet.

Is he doing any coaching? And don't they support man city in the UAE? What board exactly?

I've been on holiday a lot, can I have a job?

He’s an ambassador for Qatar 2022, and a director for the biggest academy in Qatar.

He’s got a business background he’s earned. Put it this way… he’s a lot more experienced than Sharp.

Guess it’s a question of is it a power grab by Kenwright? Or would he actually have a say and a backbone?
