Was he injured at the start of his 2nd season? Looks like he doesn't score his 1st goal that season until 31st December away at Sunderland but I can't remember what kind of injury he had.

he broke his metatarsal a few times in pre season. Back then we were pretty awful without him, he just increased the intensity of everyone in the team whenever he was in the side .

I can't actually remember tbh, I'm astonished it's 15 years ago.

yeah he broke it once and then it reoccurred again (just before an Anfield Derby as usual). Seemed to be in that period in the 2000s when they were quite common. The boot manufacturers seem to have done something now to prevent them as you don’t hear it as much now.

Dont think he was injured. Think he just went through a barron spell in the league. He scored out goal when we beat dynamo bucherest at home after theyd spanked us away.

I see Richarlison as the new Cahill but with more ability. Has that snide streak, has bought into the club, he just gets it and we all love him for his commitment. Good or bad game he doesn’t hide.

Cahill always appreciated his luck of career and he just loves playing footy, Richy just seems the same.
