Tim Cahill

It's incredible that you've seen both the young Cahill and the unnamed local kid playing Sunday League and have been able to determine that the wrong choice has been made. Almost as if you're just pulling a completely hypothetical scenario out your arse

Almost :)

No place for a winner, leader, inspiration like Cahill.

But we have violent, not very bright underachivers like Ferguson/Jeffers on the staff.

Cahill not fit to lace Duncan's boots in my opinion. I get he gave it a go but for me at least was never someone I could take to. You're right he showed a bit of fight and determination but we were a pub team in those days that suited his limited ability.

Jeffers had all the skill in the world but wasted it like nobody's business. I remember at the time thinking he'd be our Fowler for a decade. Such a shame. On that basis though - all the skill plus a tough story of how it can be frittered all away - isnt he the perfect coach for our younger ones?

You are obviously entitled to your opinion on Cahill but to say he had limited ability is a bit harsh. He scored 5 goals in world cup finals for Australia mate that's not to bad, when you consider Rooney scored 1 and Shearer 3 or 4.

would agree with any person who suggested that technically, Cahill was average. However he had as much natural instinct as anyone for being in the right place, knowing how to cause problems.
had he have had more technical ability he could have been a hell of a striker/second striker.

Also he would not have been at our place.

Each to his own, but for me Cahill was and remains the epitome of what I want at Everton. Significantly more able and talented tan Duncan in my opinion, but both shared that real desire to make Everton great again...two warriors.

You win the silliest post of the week ,either you never saw him or you have no idea .Just compare him to let's say Bernard ,who would you have in your team?
Oh for us to sign a player with his attitude to playing for Everton ,we can only dream.
