TIM HOWARD THOUGH

He was a good shot stopping keeper in his prime. He played on too long and was exposed. Was a good servant to the club, just all went a bit pear shaped towards the end.
A lesson for all good professionals, don't ruin your legacy by over staying your welcome.
Yeah hard thing to admit to one's self ya finished ( I ignore me) especially if the fella in charge keeps playing you , I blame the belter for picking him when he was clearly on the wain !

Looked amazing when the opposition peppered the goal and hit loads of shots at him, but never ever came up with crucial saves late in games when we needed it most. From 2011/12 onwards he was a genuine embarrassment of a keeper as well, among the very worst in the league.

Howard has never looked amazing

Won't have a bad word to say about Howard as a person. But jolly gosh he was an average keeper even at his best. No communication, flappy/ eccentric, concentration issues and slightly weak on long shots. Wish him the best in the future mind you

No desire to see him eaten by rabid dogs but not prepared to go beyond average for all the reasons you mention.

I have to say by the end I hated the guy. It was;t his fault though, it was poor management, holding back a far superior younger goalkeeper because of Howard's presence in the dressing room.

That being said Howard seems to genuinely get and love the club. They are lovely words and I hold no ill will against him. As with most Everton ex players I would applaud him if he came back. The club needs to use people like Howard better as well. Other clubs have started doing this, and our players develop a close connection with the club. When he retires they need to get him involved in some way or other. He do wonders for our press relations in America. Players like him, Cahill, Peinaar, Donavan the club should be making big efforts with to help us grow our brand.
Unfortunately take it from me, Donovan is nothing more than a casual Everton fan, occasionally tweeting about good wins, etc. Never at Timmy's level writing the nice words he did.
