Howard was okay today- not great, not poor. Honestly ask yourself how Robles would have dealt with the constant pressure. Martinez no doubt pondered the same question before the game.

And made a bad Management decision. Regardless of today's result.

I just think that long term, you give Robles more games. Hasn't done anything to warrant getting dropped and Howard, on his last legs at Everton, didn't do anything pre injury to warrant immediate re-selection.

Playing Howard tonight was even worse from Martinez than playing Joel at Arsenal in the FA Cup.

Tonight he dropped a player playing well for one that hadn't inspired anyone, at Arsenal he dropped an experienced keeper for one who at that stage hadn't had a decent game, its worrying that Martinez dosen't seem to be able to grasp either rotation or playing your most inform side

Great points.
 

Thought it was typical Howard. I think he saw it. He should have reacted, their was only a foot between him and the post FFS and it still found its way in. Maybe he twitches sometimes and it causes him to choke in these situations.

First time I negged someone. Because of that last line
 
Bit harsh, that shot came thru 2 players legs. He was blinded and had milly seconds to react.

Like it or not....Howard is RM first choice Keeper. Therefore he had to come back into the team. And he played fine, actually played very well. Mom in most if not all media reviews.

There's a few scapegoats this season that no matter what they do they will be criticized. And every little half mistake will be magnified. The other darlings of the team will get away with the exact same mistakes with not a mention.

Our problems this season are much deeper routed than any single player/s can be responsible for.

Might just be me mate, but he goes to save the ball then all of sudden seems to pull out and just lets it roll past him, seriously.
Deflection or not i 100% believe that he could have got that.
