Maybe mate. A lot of people just get set in an opinion of players regardless of how they perform, like Ossie has the odd solid game every now and then but is still the reason we lose every match he plays haha

Perhaps so as one of his kicks was awful sliced in the air - The defence deserved more than a defeat last night our back four protected the keeper very well!

I seem to recall that during the game Jags and was it Stones speaking to him and saying WTF which is perhaps indicative of little confidence in him.

Made some excellent saves last night. He's not World Class but probably the next category down. He's a 70-80 out of 100 I'd say. Can't see us getting an established keeper above that level. We'd have to get a younger lad in who could grow to that

Fraser Forster could have been that guy, but Southampton got to him first

How was his punch out badly directed? It went 22 yards plus and to the left side of the goal, where would you suggest was a good area to clear it to?

both times it ended up in the net it had taken two deflections, what manner of extra super-human perception and bullet-time like movement do you think are possible?

Didn't say he should have saved it, I said he gave himself no chance of saving it because of his stance, i.e. being on his knees.

The goal was unlucky v us,little deflection on one player,nuts megs another,and just about goes in,not like it was in clear view,a few players blocking his view,did pretty well,and people had there moans ready about him before we even kicked off last night,so the little of things to happen,people were waiting

If you watch Howard more that is his typical stance to stretch himself out.

I'm not convinced he's that much worse than Robles. Robles has had some awful matches in his time at the club

Howard was very good for long periods of the match last night.

If we sold or got rid of all the players who made individual errors this season, we'd have no players left

Never mind the distance it went straight William who excepted the gift and put it inside his near post - my brother even claims TH should have caught it?
I thought that was harsh, but TH now has a habit of making a crucial costly mistake the stats bear that out as -Robles are better per game!
