Gutted with how it looks like it's going to end with him. Behind Southall and Martyn he's been our best keeper of the last 20 years (not saying much I know.) But he's been a great servant to the club and really was decent in his day.

Wish he hadn't reacted to criticism like he has, but for his sake, it would have been much better if he had been rotated more over the past couple of years. Would have saved him a lot of grief, and potentially prolonged his career, a la Friedel at Spurs.

Why do we always seem to squeeze every last bit out of a player at Everton? Neville, Weir in recent times. Even Watson and Southall went a bit iffy at the end of their careers. Would have been nice to see him go on a high.

I say bring in David Marshall.

My brother seen that 30 year old - 10 million rated last week on channel five review of the Championship he stated he let two in and looked worse than Tim!

It will be a shame if this is how it ends for a player who has played as many games as he has for our club. I hope people, and Howard, can put the last couple of seasons behind them and agree he gave the club good service for a longer period of time than he did poor service.
He has more positives for Everton than he has negatives. We have to remember it Isn't easy facing up to getting old.

Fair enough. I've seen him play a few games as go down to watch Cardiff now and again and he's looked okay. Maybe just my Welsh-tinted specs! Haha, anyway. It's a moot point now! FFS.

We need Robles to have a run to see if he can perform consistently, if not we need a capable keeper with a future in him not another has been imo!

One of the youth keepers tweeted he'd be in the squad, or someone assumed he'd be in the squad.

This caused meltdown to think Robles was starting and the lad was on the bench...therefore Howard not in the team.

Then some biff said there was a MLS podcast that said some team were in for him after selling their keeper.

Of course...completely wrong.
