I have to agree with ArronTheBlue, Howard has become a greater liability because his nervousness has affected the defence. The players don't appear to trust him and it is having an impact on how they are playing.
There is no doubt that Tim Howard is not the sole problem in our inability to defend a lead but he is a major factor in it. I am now on Martinez side, just. What I can't fathom is when he knows something isn't working why not try and change it.
I'm sure he is concerned that if he makes too many changes then we might not be able to get ourselves in a position to be two nil up. He needs to try and make adjustments, Robles for Howard may just be the catalyst to bring the defence together.

for me he is the virus of the team.

He plays, defenders get more nervous, he plays we concede from his errors, he's like playing a kid in goal except without the athletic or acrobatic ability, he doesn't shout or arrange his defense, he's nervous and on edge and it shows, and spreads to the defence.

Maintained for a while mate; Get Jagielka back in and Robles and we'll start picking up 3 points instead of 1.

He could of made a trip over to the states this week, wether it be family, business, tv or to talk about a move in the summer.
His scheduled flight may of been cancelled due to the snow storms annd hes not going to make it back for the match

A change of sport was probably what he needed, possibly not one so reliant on catching a ball again though.
