2024/25 Tim Iroegbunam

….terrific today but I’m not convinced it’s tiredness that causes his dip in form late in games or him becoming too casual.

Regardless, sitting in the Paddock he was absolutely taking ‘the mick’ out of Cook during that 2nd half, he was in his ear laughing at him but sadly Cook had the last laugh.

Talking about blend and players on the same wavelength, he linked really well with Ndiaye. The making of a partnership there.

Proper talent this lad.
Eggs, he was exhausted at the end because he was struggling to get about and his passing deteriorated: he'd covered a lot of yards and fought and tackled.

I can see the reasoning of thinking about complacency, but personally I think it's asking a lot to do his role at his age and with the intensity required.

By the 70th minute, James Garner should have been on! For me, this lad could be the mustard!

100% agree. Not many players play as the key CM aged 21 in the premier league. For 75 minutes he was absolutely everywhere and quality on the ball.

The boy is a real talent. He glides so well on the pitch and are the perfect replacement for Gueye - they are so alike and like-minded.

But its quiet obvious, that the boyisnt used to regular senior football. His body is not ready for 90 minutes week in week out, which we all have seen, since he typically runs out of batteries for the last 20-30 minutes. How can Dyche not see that? And would he be injured for the overload?

My worry is that the players not on international duty will be doing "Gaffer's day" training sessions over the next two weeks because it's all Dyche knows and they'll be more knackered after the break than before.

I think he’s at fault for the equaliser. He just lets Lewis Cook walk passed him and into the area. Looked dead on his feet and the manager should have recognised it. Defend the equaliser and the game finished 2-1 and everything feels different.

I'm not saying he hasn't contributed to the goal, however, as you recognise yourself, he shouldn't have been put into that situation by Dyche and his team.

His passing prior to their first goal (in and around their area) highlighted a young player who was struggling due to severe tiredness.

I seriously, seriously hope that the manager doesn't criticise him for it, because he needs protecting, but I fear that the dinosaur will blame anyone but himself.

For as much as today feels like being kicked in the balls, the performances of Tim and Ndiaye at least give some grounds for optimism.
It’s almost like Thelwell has brought in some decent players. Shame O’Brien wasn’t given a go in a defence that before today had conceded 7 in 2 games and now 10 in 3. Sean knows best though. Premier League experience is more important than footballing ability.

Do like the look of this kid, but most decent managers know that younger players tend to run hard early doors, so they manage there minutes by bringing them off early till they get the experience to manage their fitness for 90 minutes.... but not our manager, he doesn't want to interrupt the flow of the game till it's to late
