Leeds United and Burnley have threatened to sue the Premier League and Everton for significant damages because they believe the Merseyside club has committed a serious breach of financial rules.

The two clubs sent a letter last week warning that they would reserve the right to take legal action against the Premier League and Everton, asking for details of what action or investigation had been launched in the league after Everton registered a £ 371.8 million loss. the last three years.

The Premier League’s profit and financial sustainability rules allow clubs to lose a maximum of £ 105 million over three years or receive penalties for deducting points for serious breaches.

The damage caused by the Covid pandemic can be written off, but Leeds and Burnley have expressed concern that
Salty tears, taste them.

Pretty sure i read a couple of months ago that the club had openly been through everything with the PL prior to announcing the years accounts and the PL were fine that no rules had been breached. Relegation rival bitterness or should i say ex relegation rivals after yesterday you absolute beauts. lol

Well Everton wouldn't be the ones with the case to answer even If there is actually any case to answer.

It would be the Premier league who have decided that the punishment they would hand out to Everton would be the first stage punishment of overseeing their transfer activity.

But I'm pretty sure it was written in the rules that what has happened is correct protocol. So really it's clutching at straws and no case to answer.
