Times article, Burnley/Leeds threaten to sue Everton

Well if ever there was a reason for the bizarre and controversial refereeing we have received in the second half of this season. Perhaps this kind of scenario is the exact reason why

There’s no precedent for what happens if you breach the Rules anyway. The rules don’t state that if you breach profit and sustainability you get a points deduction. So I don’t really see how it impacts them, but given the sums involved they’re probably just trying to get a bit of money out the league. But there’s no Premier League precedent to say we should have had a points deduction.

hasn't this already been debunked. There was a similar story a month ago and both Everton and PL confirmed they were working together and the accounts were signed off. It's a nothing story desperately trying to create a narrative heading into the last game

Just because Everton and the PL have an agreement does not mean that one exists between those parties and Leeds and Burnley.

All those clubs have done is write to them to say they reserve the right to sue, if they choose to. Only one of them will eventually sue as only one of them can be relegated.

A points deduction at this stage is very, very unlikely but there could be a big fine similar to what West Ham paid Sheffield United regarding the Tevez situation.

Awww bless them the poor little things. They're just gutted to be a club that's so unbelievably inept and incompetent that they have somehow managed to finish beneath the worst Everton team in 70 plus years! I mean, Its understandable I suppose. I'd be embarrassed too if I was one of them! I'd be so embarrassed that I'd be all for shutting down the club. Personally I'd want bulldozers outside outside of Elland Road and Turf Moor if I was one of them. Luckily for me though I'm not........:hayee:oh-dear-how-sad-nevermind.jpg
