I hope they are found. I don’t think they will be. Probably best if it imploded would have killed them all instantly. Sitting around in the dark in your own pee and poo no toilet on the submersible waiting to run out of air is a horrible way to go stuff of nightmares.

There is a toilet in it. On the other point you are right being instantly crushed would be far preferable than waiting to die.

They're very much up chit creek without a paddle aren't they. They may be found, but it'll likely be far too late, even if they're found right now. Even if they're found, it's not guaranteed that their capsule could be lifted off the ocean bed if that's where it is. Even if they could have escaped from the inside, that's no good when you're that far under water, but at least they could have ended their own suffering pretty quickly. I think it's unlikely that they're floating on the surface given the number of planes and ships that are part of the search. Oh well, get it off the top news spot now as there are far more important things going on around the world, this really isn't important at all to 99.99999999% of the world's population.

When they signed up for "the Titanic experience", I don't think they expected this.

Who has said that? I think 99.9% are willing them to be found safe and well. But these people knew the risks and went in eyes wide open that they were effectively test pilots and were hanging their asses way out there. Compare that to the hundreds of kids that apparently drowned in that migrant ship disaster that had little choice to why they were there and were failed badly by numerous people and authorities. For that I have utmost reverence for and wouldn't make any kind of joke about the situation, this I can understand the injection of humour but all said if and when we hear the news most will be respectful of the fallen. Let's hope for their sakes we don't have to have find out.

Yeh not a chance these are carrying emergency oxygen candles onboard like military boats do.

They will probably have lost the battery now and be down to emergency lighting or no lighting at all. Brutal

I get it but didn't they say they had no way to locate the Titanic other than text messages from the top to the submersible?

They potentially have an UWT(under water telephone). It sends sonar pulses out that can be coded for messages. Sort of like morse code. Maybe that’s what the they’re talking about with the text messages.
