Titanic Tourist Submarine Goes Missing

That is what some sub expert said on the radio earlier. His suggestion was that if they havnt, they cant, if they have, search the surface.

Damn sounds like I missed my calling! :hayee:

At this time I would throw all my efforts in searching the surface, bearing in mind how many expeditions and weeks it took to find Titanic in the first place and that's something that's 860 feet or so longer. They just don't have the time, even if by miracle they located it they still have to bring it up to the surface.

Beyond a certain depth that won’t work. For every ten meters the increase in pressure is one bar. The further you go down the more the pressure deflates the air and as you go up the opposite. So you will need the propulsions system to work at deep depths, and if that has failed and their is no back up system then they are screwed.

I'm not keeping a close eye on it but as far as I understand it they lost contact with the sub very early on its dive. Soon as that happened they should have tried to surface, whether they did or not is the question.

🙏 they make it out alive but the messages we are getting do not bode well. It's not only the increased water pressure but the unimaginable cold at that sort of depth which makes their survival prospects that much slimmer, unfortunately.

Hope they survive and are able to collaborate on a book and film deal.

There's not even a way for them to end their own suffering. Either the dad will watch his son suffocate, or the son will watch his dad suffocate. Then whichever one went first, the other will have to sit there and await his fate. It's got all the markings of a Netflix special hasn't it.

people always say dolphins like to help humans at sea, let's see what you've got flipper balls

Was within 2 hours. On Sunday. Not looking great is it?

You definitely wouldn't like their poker hand at the moment. I'm a self-confessed Titanic nerd and I do get the appeal of seeing it just outside of where you are sitting - however that desire is tempered by two things 1) the amount of light that can be shone on it means you can't really make out a lot other than the immediate area you are looking at and 2) the very situation these people find themselves in now.

I think you have to make your peace before you step foot in that sub (especially that one which does look more like it has been bought from home bargains, unlike the Mir ones that Cameron used and even the Alvin that Ballard used to go down to Titanic) therefore I'm not viewing this say like the Chilean miners or the kids stuck in the Thai cave. The chances of survival are slim to none if it's underwater.
