Think that VAR decision for correct against Gana there. Sure Marcelo went down easy but regardless you can’t push people.

The whole way football is officiated needs a rework. I think that's a foul too but it certainly didn't knock Marcelo over if he wanted to stay on his feet. And it's only given because he doesn't.

It’s VAR that’s the poison for officiating now. I think refs now instantly want VAR to get involved after any goal/incident as they’re so scared they’re going to get something wrong.

Yep. It was a push in the back of the RM player. After that, nothing else counts. Correct decision arrived at, and refreshing to see the ref go to the pitch-side monitor. Well done that man! Courtois can count himself lucky...

Very lucky. One of those incidents where without VAR that’s a penalty and keeper sent off but the correct uses are few and far between.

Nah. Ref has realised he's made a right pigs ear of the big decision and the push he initially let fly - rightly as football is a contact sport - gave him a way out.

1. It's a penalty
2. It's not a red card if last man in the penalty area

Don’t let your team bias shine through or anything there mate.
