1. Because it shows what happened; and
2. That is a most unnatural position to try to get yourself up from the ground. Particularly with an opponent next to you that close.

Or are you seeing something totally different and innocuous...?
Take a look at the 'stills' for richarlison and pickford tackles during the Derby and they do look bad. Watch them in video and you can clearly see what happened.

Its a harsh red, would be annoyed if it was given against your team, but if penalties are awarded for any slight contact then thats a red

Richarlison’s was a red.

Pickford’s was an in-game clash.

This was after the foul was given so not even relatable.

I'm suggesting that the stills tell a different story though.

Richarlison was a red yes, but on stills it looks like he's about to break a leg. In reality he actually pulled out.

On stills, it looks like that guy is lashing out. On video, it looks like he barely even makes a motion whatsoever and not one I would consider as violent conduct or lashing out.

Lashing out is hendo vs Allan etc.

Palace are going to climb the table and push for top 6

Not sure about that - they are like Leeds in that there is a right way and a really wrong way (ie: how United did) to play them. So far most sides haven’t played to Palaces strengths and I don’t think many more will, especially after this.

So you deny his legs go from tucked into his chest to outstretched? Because if you don’t that is called a kick out and it is a red card whether it’s with intent or malicious or what.

They go from tucked into his chest to slightly less tucked into his chest. They are by no means stretched out.
