TBH I wasn't condemning or condoning it. Just trying to give a bit of cultural context. My wife is Argentinian as are a lot of our friends.

'Negro/a', 'Gordo/a', 'Flaco/a' are staple parts of her vocabulary. I feel a bit uncomfortable calling someone 'Gordita' even if they are Argentinian or Uruguayan.

The worst you could accuse Cavani of here is insensitivity. And that's not an open and shut case.

Agree. My wife is mexican Guatemalan and same perspective as you on all of the above. My wife's aunt is called Guera by family, and my brother in laws ex fiancee was called flaca by the family. Just how it is.
