1) You've now changed your argument.
2) No it doesn't.
No, my argument is still that you're not considering how much things change if you go from a complete running clock to a clock that stops every time the play stops for any reason and I still think that is true. I just thought of another thing that could happen.

You wrote that it "Definitely leads to mid game commercial breaks," not that it could happen.

Cornella do beat Atletico in the Copa Del Ray

Cornella have lost their last 3 Segunda B games, including v the B teams of Espanyol & Barcelona. plus Madrid have lost to more 3rd-tier teams than La Liga clubs since 18 Jan 2020. [Madrid went out to some team called Cultural Leonesa last season]
----------------------------------------
What should be 3 decent games up soon as well
AC Milan v Juventus, Man Utd v Man City both 7.45, and Athletic Bilbao v Barcelona at 8

Barca vs Bilbao defo seems the odd 1 out there to me, but I haven't even glanced at La Liga table for years.

But if there is a stopwatch, the "Art" of time wasting will become a waste of time so it will stop happening and the games wouldn't last as long as you suggest.

I'm personally in favour of similar to rugby where you get "x" time to use the ball, or it goes to the opposition. Like 1 minute for free kicks/corners. 30 seconds throw ins or goal kicks etc.

Embarrasing for Atletico

But they'll probably win La Liga to make up for it

Milan vs Juve should be good, if Juve lose i reckon they're out of the title race

I've only ever been to one game of rugby so unfortunately I don't fully understand how the system works and also have no ides if both codes have the same rules but if you think it would stop all the time wasting then great.
