Following the latest round of mandated Covid-19 tests, the EFL can confirm that 3507 players and Club staff from 66 EFL Clubs were tested over the course of the past week with 112 individuals testing positive.

This week’s testing programme incorporated all EFL Clubs who are participating in the FA Cup Round 3 fixtures, and the remaining six EFL Clubs who did not feature will be tested ahead of their next League fixture with results announced in due course.

Why dont they call it off. Isn't the protocol is if a dosey defender has a party they can give 4 hours notice to postpone.
Different circumstances, the 4th round of the cup is the weekend of the 23rd so the FA can’t reschedule games whereas the Premier League can

Can they not fit it in on a mid week before the fixture or something. Sounds like when I catch my bird out on a hypocrisy and she gives some lame excuse like ' yeah but when I did it I was wearing an orange T shirt on a Tuesday morning so, erm, its different'.

Knowsley had 1,116 cases for the week ending 5th Jan with Wirral, Liverpool and Sefton all around 850, the national average is just over half of the Knowsley total at 576 - according to the BBC site

Quite a few of the players live out in Formby and Southport way and others on the Wirral, given that then no matter how secure the bubbles are the virus is everywhere, these are truly frightening rises we're rapidly getting near the very worst in the country again. How long can football carry on even given that it has an important place for the mental health of many?

Yes exactly, Villa's under 23's having to undergo Covid checks to see if enough uninfected.

Gary Lineker saying football might succumb soon as the virus sweeps through training grounds. Honestly think they're just putting off the inevitable now, much better to act decisively before it gets far worse not wait until forced to do so..
They'll wait until the RS are not top of the league.

Poor excuse for continuing, but one most of the media / clubs have been peddling mercilessly sine last March - I challenge any of these institutions to put their argument to any of the 1300 odd families and friends of todays death toll.
