I've got a mate who supports them (and he genuinely thinks he talks sense) who is adamant they should be getting hassenhuttl.

Deluded to think he would leave saints to go to work for Mike Ashley.
I've seen one demanding the club show 'ambition' and sack Bruce for... Mark Hughes.

Walcott doesn’t play for us anymore, and if consolation wonder goals in 4-2 wins is all we have to moan about then we really are in new territory.

But thats the point its just one example of lazy moments in games against these types of teams

Not closing down Bissouma jogging about

Gomes lazy pen for Newcastle

Mina against WBA

The whole team performance against Leeds, Saints & WHU

1st half against Burnley and their goal

Compare that to the application we have put in against the likes of Chelsea and Leicester and its clear for me the issue isnt ability its mentality.

Its an arrogance thing with us.

Top teams aside we stroll into games against clubs we feel we have a God given right to beat.

Newcastle were better than than they are now, far more confident. We had 5 first team players missing (James, Richarlison, Digne, Coleman, Holgate). We dominated the game but couldn’t find a cutting edge, then we gave a silly pen away. If happens. It’s hardly like we got battered by them. If anything we dominated them on their own turf with half our team missing. We just couldn’t score. People need to get over it. City and Liverpool drew at home to West Brom, Leicester lost at home to Fulham. Teams sometimes have a bad performance, that was one of ours.
Tell me I need to get over it if those 3 points against a very poor team costs us a place in Europe. If we've got any ambition at all we should be brushing teams like that aside. Don't think I'd have swapped any of our players on the day for any of theirs.

I'm not sure what dwelling on it actually achieves like

It happened, we were all annoyed about when it happened, we're not going to play that game again

Those 3 points are gone. We need to pull our socks up and get on with it

Liverpool didn’t brush them aside though did they? Leeds got beaten by Crawley in the cup. City dropped points to West Brom this season and were beaten by Norwich last season.

Football doesn’t just work like ‘we’re better than them therefore it’s a disgrace if we drop points’. By that logic we’d never record a single win home or away against a top 6 team. We regularly do though because sometimes teams play poorly just as other teams play well. We had our best players injured or unavailable that day, we didn’t play great, they played one of their best performances of the season, it was going to a 0-0 until a clumsy penalty got no oven away, so we lost. It happens though. If we lose out on Europe by three points then I’m sure there’ll be multiple occasions we can pinpoint where we lost it.
