Its an arrogance thing with us.

Top teams aside we stroll into games against clubs we feel we have a God given right to beat.
We defo stroll into games. I dono if that's a God giving right complex. As usual teams who have that. Like the top teams. Go mental when it's not going their way. Scream at the ref till he's deaf. Get up to the dark arts. And get angry. Then god help us if a lesser team does beat them as they go on a media campaign to blacking said team. We seem to take it well when our god giving games don't pan out.

So Citeh fancied a break and got out of our game, but managed to turn up at Chelsea a few days later. Then Villa cry off but are now ok for this Saturday? Next time someone tries this on we should stand firm and ask for the points.

Shipped sailed with City - they pulled a fast one and got away with & the precedent set now. In fairness to villa mind, I think it's a simple case of there players who were isolating were simply out of 10 days isolation to the best of my knowledge. At some stage during a covid outbreak you are always going to have players not available on the Tuesday but all ready on the Thursday. It's just the nature of the beast.

Ridiculous.

So by removing the word “Internazionale”, they hope this will help the club reach a wider, more international audience? I don’t speak Italian but I'm guessing the word “Internazionale” means “international”. Bizarre.

A dumbing down.

Most people call them Inter or Inter Milan anyway so seems a bit pointless

Liverpool didn’t brush them aside though did they? Leeds got beaten by Crawley in the cup. City dropped points to West Brom this season and were beaten by Norwich last season.

Football doesn’t just work like ‘we’re better than them therefore it’s a disgrace if we drop points’. By that logic we’d never record a single win home or away against a top 6 team. We regularly do though because sometimes teams play poorly just as other teams play well. We had our best players injured or unavailable that day, we didn’t play great, they played one of their best performances of the season, it was going to a 0-0 until a clumsy penalty got no oven away, so we lost. It happens though. If we lose out on Europe by three points then I’m sure there’ll be multiple occasions we can pinpoint where we lost it.
I'm not interested in the fact Liverpool didn't beat them or Crawley beat Leeds or Trumpton beat Chigley. But while we're on the subject. Liverpool have been brushing most teams aside for 2 or 3 years now and that's how you become successful particularly against the poorer teams. It's about mental attitude and its something we've got to change if we're to be successful. Yes teams do play well at times. That's the reason there are so many upsets in the cup completions. But its the good teams who play better than them on the day most of the time and are the most consistent who win things. We where poor against Newcastle who are a very poor team and if we want success we can't afford to be.

That basically boils down to ‘we have to beat every team we’re better than all the time if we want to be successful’, but by that very same logic you’re also calling for us to beat all the teams above us if we want to be successful (because we shouldn’t be winning any of these following your own premise of the better teams winning). So we should be showing a level of consistency that is at the very same time not expected of the top teams when they play us? Or are you happy with us losing every single time to the top 6?

Teams will always lose to teams worse than them regardless of mentality. You mentioned Liverpool recently but even they failed to win at West Ham, Leicester, Everton, and United which ultimately cost them the title in 18/19, sides they were better than. It happens. We lost to Newcastle yeah but then beat Arsenal, Chelsea, Leicester in a row that wasn’t expected from us at all. We can’t then say ‘ah but we should have beat Newcastle as well’

If we can’t accept losing to anyone ‘worse’ than us, even at all, and we expect to be showing up against teams ‘better’ than us, then that is getting dangerously close to just expecting that we win every game. That’s fine to have this aspiration as a fan, we all want thy, but to think it will happen in reality then get annoyed when it doesn’t is going to leave people frustrated.

Well, yes we do have to beat everyone we're better than to be successful and that means everyone. The top teams as well as the poor ones. Again Liverpool did lose the title because they dropped points against poorer teams but they quickly corrected the problem. I don't know how long you've been supporting us but during the mid 80,s we had a team who us supporters expected to go out and win every game, but more importantly the players went out out expecting to win every game. As I said before that's what makes winners.

A draw would be great like but on the other hand theres something quite satisfying about watching a team like Chelsea who could basically select 3 different sides yet still manage to look like Doncaster Rovers. That's a challenge itself and one Frank really is excelling at.
Just don't want to see us go six points behind them even if we can draw level with two wins from our games in hand. They're more than capable of beating us at Goodison going off our home form this season and going nine points behind them may be beyond catching them even with so many games left to play.
