Completely irrelevant as they've given it onside based on Ming's restarting a new phase...like the initial ball intended for the attacker didn't happen.
 

......is the correct answer. These officials these days they’re utterly clueless. Rodri is offside as the ball is headed forward, he then tackles Mings. That is as clear an offside as you’ll see. The game now is not the one I learnt the rules of.

Peter Walton, ex head of the refs high table, said it was offside. Then had to be told he's wrong. Which I don't think he believes is right

So when does the next phase of play start? When Mings decides it does? When City players walk away from him and lets him do as he likes.

Mings took control of the ball and moved on. City player now onside challenges for the ball. Mings loses it. Nothing more complicated than that.
