There was always a player there even when he played for us, he's a talented footballer - I would have liked to have seen more of him, but attitude and consistency issues seemed to scupper that, and crap managers of course!

I always liked what I saw, a bit raw at times and lost the ball a lot.
If you asked him to answer honestly, I don't think he liked living up here, haven't got a clue where they put him, remember early on there was talk of homesickness?

So when does the next phase of play start? When Mings decides it does? When City players walk away from him and lets him do as he likes.

Mings took control of the ball and moved on. City player now onside challenges for the ball. Mings loses it. Nothing more complicated than that.

So...we completely forget that the attacker is running back to engage a forward ball from an offside position?

If this is the case then every attacker can just stay in that position and just nick the ball off a centre half. Therefore... making the offside rule completely irrelevant

You are completely ignoring the next phase of play.

Every attacker in an offside position runs back to get himself onside in the next phase of play. That is obvious. As it is obvious that Mings starts the next phase of play WHEN THE MAN CITY PLAYER HAD MOVED TO AN ONSIDE POSITION.

standard of 'keeping on the prem is below average compared to previous years. Pickford is not the worst.

Made one against Wolves when a shot was going well wide and he tried to catch it and it went for a corner, made one against Arsenal where he flapped at a cross, it fell to one of their players and it was deflected onto the post, he is an accident waiting to happen, really hope we get a top class keeper in the summer
