Some of those late chances they should have really scored with, summed up by having no luck with that last minute deflection just going wide

Loftus Cheek could have easily have walked away with the match ball today. They weren't even half chances, they were very presentable chances.

Utd will be well chuffed playing as poor as that and still walking away with 3 points

Just saw that City goal.

Regardless of what the law says, that goal shouldn't count. If it is legal, and I'm not sure it is, then the offside law needs changed.

Read through the last few pages to see why it was a valid goal.

Mings controlled the ball and began to set off with it. Second phase of play. Also, at that point, the Man City player had moved back into an onside position. So he was making a valid tackle from an onside position in the second phase of play.

Unfortunately it is legal, and yes the law definitely needs to be changed.

I remember a Kane goal against Sunderland where the defender tried to stop a through ball, but the ball continued to an offside Kane. Clearly this should be offside, the only reason he played the ball is because Kane is there about to receive the ball. However, because he played the ball, Kane isn't offside. Madness

Really changes the whole "play to the whistle" thing... This is an instance where you shouldn't play to the whistle, if you do, it penalises you.

Nah.
Mings error. He wasn't aware of Rodri and clearly controlled the ball with his chest, gaining possession. Ultimately it comes down to a defender not being alert of what's behind him.

The rule needs changed. He can only make that tackle because he had been slow to get back onside.
