Chorley do
They are having what they describe as a transitional year in that they are trying to change the way they play slightly and also integrate a lot of younger players, Nuno said at the start of the season they don't expect to finish as high up the table as they have in the previous 2 seasons.Wolves are proper rubbish this year
But still if we get to the final we’ll all be bang up for it thoughYeah a cup for the Marine's and Chorley's to savour while everyone else thinks sh*t it's FA cup weekend
Having been at Wembley to watch us lift the cup in '84 I will always have a soft spot for it. It's a shame that the oldest cup competition has become so devalued but I'm all for a bit of the romance. Difficult to get worked up about footy in the present situation. I know a Morecambe season-ticket holder who was gutted to miss out on their third-round match at Stamford Bridge, just as the couple of thousand that no doubt would've packed into Chorley's ground tonight. I'm off to make a tin-foil cup to wave at the telly on Sunday night and then weep into my Bovril.Yeah a cup for the Marine's and Chorley's to savour while everyone else thinks sh*t it's FA cup weekend
Feel the same about international football, as do plenty.I know we want to win a trophy but who really cares about the FA cup? Nowadays It just gets in the way of the prem with decreasing numbers even arsed and teams fielding their reserves.
An antiquated legacy from the past which is now just an anachronism in the present day
More the case with interminable (even prestige) international friendlies and worse still qualifying for me, which in England's case is the equivalent more friendlies but against far inferior opposition with qualifying a formality.Feel the same about international football, as do plenty.
Stick them (qualifiers) midweek.More the case with interminable (even prestige) international friendlies and worse still qualifying for me, which in England's case is the equivalent more friendlies but against far inferior opposition with qualifying a formality.
The finals tournaments in the summer are worthwhile but ditch the qualifying when it's a numbingly boring cakewalk anyway
