Chilwell benched again as well.
Thought you were watching the one show?

Yeah, Tuchel wants to play with wing backs, good for James, Alonso, but leaves Chilwell on the bench. There is talk that it was Lampard pushing to sign Chilwell and Marina and the board aren't convinced. It's all politics at that toxic waste dump of a club; so it's worth keeping an eye on Chilwell to see if he comes available at some point.

It also probably means it will be Shaw at left back for England if the Euros go ahead.

Tarkovski and Rice too. Refused to even consider Rice cos he's an academy reject apparently.

Yeah, I've read that a few times about Lampard wanting Rice and the board hating it for the reason you say. It's a weird one all around, because I don't think Rice is someone I would get that excited about if I was Lampard or that annoyed by if I was on their board, seems too functional a player to get that divisive about.

Tarkowski, yeah, Lampard wanted him and wanted to finance the deal by moving Rudiger on. The board think Rudiger is their future centre back for the next decade. Another weird battle to pick, makes me think Lampard was more interested in imposing himself on the board than running the team. Like I say, all politics, they could lose every match between now and May and I wouldn't get bored of it.
