Willian is a cracking footballer.

I'd have liked him here because he's always came across as a player with a great mixture of talent, tenacity and experience, with a decent return to boot.

Still, the draw of London probably meant we never had a chance; there's also the rumours of him being a bit of a unsettling character in the dressing room.

Having Chelsea in your own borough just a mile and half away isn't good and also having QPR just 2 1/2 miles away makes it even harder.

It's just an interesting strategy to bring Arteta in to build something and also to make the key cogs guys who are getting on in years.

I find the comments that are like "wish we signed Willian" or "we need a player like Willian" to be a bit of transfer related whinging but if not apologies to all involved

Eh it isn't over. It wasn't a great situation for him last year. I'm willing to let him have another go, clean slate.
