There were definitely going to be a few not so good players in that Monaco team that made the semi-finals a few years back, and Thomas Lemar is for sure one of them.

Not one shot on target for Athletico..

Athletico are not great at all. Yes, they are on top of la liga, but it is simply rubbish at the moment. They rely on a clean sheet at home at all costs & if they manage that, as per Liverpool last year, they can grind something out.

Suspect chelsea will go and beat them handsomely second leg

They weren't nearly as dominant tonight as people are making out. Same as they've been since Tuchel took over, pass it around a lot and hope that you can finish a bit better or get a bit luckier. Tonight was both.

I honestly would like to see Atletico, or really just anyone, have a go at them and see what happens. I'm not sure why people are scared.

yeah id agree - before tonight they have had one relatively significant test and dropped two points. I think they have a very tough run of fixtures ahead, along with Liverpool

I agree. We’re pony, serving up some turgid stodge at the mo. Without intending to channel the oft used sentiment of your loveable cousins, I think we might be pretty decent next year though.
I agree with the last point, think you have most of the pieces - just about making them fit now. That being said I can’t see Abramovich spending another £200m this summer!

If West Ham can get top 4 this season, it would be similar to the Spurs 15/16 season, in the sense, they can sustain a long dominance in the top 4 spots, if they play their cards right.

No me neither. If we get a proper centre forward in we should do well. If we can somehow con someone in to taking Kepa from us we’ll probably try for an established keeper as well. Mendy’s done ok but he’s probably not in the top bracket.
