Modric & Kroos are Xavi & Iniesta? Has to be considered a pretty close run thing now. Modric has always been my fave. His play making skills are not quite as fine as Iniesta’s but he compensates with his ability to get around the pitch

I do find their games really boring to watch. They just squeeze the life out of teams - not entertaining for the neutral.

His point wasn't about the style so much as City play 30+ PL games a year they're just supposed to win. So if they do it is whatever and if they don't it's disappointing. Same with the early rounds of the cups and CL. It just isn't really enjoyable watching them pump Palace or whoever year on year.

Now as Everton fans who have struggled for awhile that wouldn't happen quickly but I get what he's on about.

Modric has been the best midfielder in the world hands down since Xavi and Iniesta declined.

Just seen that Arnold header. Right after Carragher was nearly in tears defending him on sky. You can see why he’s a risk when he hasn’t got people doing the defending for him for 90 minutes. Don’t dare criticise the cult and their players though.

He's League One standard as a defender, no exaggeration.

Everton were very successful in the 80s, I didn't find any of it boring.
