World cup hosts not from Europe usually get an invite to the Copa, Japan were in it in 2001, I think Korea were as well, I guess Qatar or so bad they got invited to the Gold Cup instead if the Copa.

I had no idea Qatar won the 2019 Asia Cup.
Qatar is much better than I expected. I love the fact that they had a 2 hour rain delay, since Qatar as a country has about 3" of rain per year. Must have been their first rain delay in history.
2-1 Qatar...barely ten minutes into the 2nd half after 0-0 at HT.
